We started today with a trip to the Museum of Modern art. It was super cool to see some examples of Australian art. This included paintings from over a hundred years ago, as well as Aboriginal art, and more modern sculptures. I personally really liked the paintings on display. It was really interesting to see representations of the history of Australia, from the time the first colonizers landed, and how the settlements grew into cities.

After the museum, we took a river cruise through Melbourne. One interesting thing that the captain said was how much the river had improved in recent years. The city has installed trash-collecting devices on the banks of the river, and it was clear that they had been extremely effective in actually removing trash from the river. There were several that were completely full of garbage.

After the cruise we took a lunch break, and took a trip up to the Melbourne skydeck. It was an awesome experience. Seeing the city from a birds eye view was really interesting. It was cool to see the landmarks that we had visited earleir from the sky. It was also interesting to see how big the city actually is, it spread all along the coast of the bay, with different areas of high rise buildings on several different districts.
