Today was our travel day to Brisbane. It was a pretty long day of moving through airports and getting everything sorted for the flight, but overall it went smoothly. Leaving Auckland was a little sad. After spending so much time there, the city really started to feel familiar, and it was a great place to live and explore for a while. Between the jobsite visits, working on thesis, and getting to see a lot of the surrounding areas, it ended up being a really memorable stop on the trip.
At the same time, it’s exciting to be heading somewhere new. Traveling to a new city always brings a fresh start and a lot of new things to see and do. Brisbane should be a completely different experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the city is like and what we’ll get to do there.
Overall it was a bit of a mixed feeling kind of day. It was tough to leave Auckland behind, but I’m definitely excited for the next part of the adventure.
