Day 12 (10/18/2026)

Today we took a trip to the Australian Open. I have never been to a tennis match before, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. We were able to watch Zverev and Diallo, which was an awesome match, as well as Paolini and Sasnovich.

What surprised me most was how intense it felt in person compared to watching on TV. You can really hear the power behind every shot and feel how fast the pace of the game is. The crowd made a big difference too. Everyone was locked in during long rallies, and then the whole stadium would erupt after a big point. It made even the smaller moments of the match exciting.

Another thing I didn’t expect was how big the entire event is. There were courts everywhere, tons of people from all over the world, and so much going on beyond just the matches. It felt more like a festival than just a sporting event. Overall, it was a really cool experience and definitely something I’m glad I got to see while being in Australia.
